little bobbins knits - episode twenty four

Happy Monday everyone.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been in touch over the last week, to the new members of the Ravelry group, to  the lovely people who have subscribed on YouTube and the hugest thank you to those of you who are returning to the podcast, it really means such a lot.

My wonderful mum is joining me for this episode! Yay! She tells us about how she started crafting and what she enjoys making, we both have works in progress to share as well as an upcoming project for mum, mum tells us about a quilt challenge she plans to do again and I show you some really lovely things from the last week.

I had terrible trouble with processing and uploading this episode and unfortunately couldn't publish it in the usual quality I use. I hope it is still ok.

Works in Progress

Mum shows us the fabric hexipuff blanket she is making for me.

This is the one she made for herself out of lots of fabric scraps.

I'm knitting an Aisling shawl by Justyna Lorkowska in Silk Sock in the A Hint of Cream colour way from The Wool Barn

I mentioned the wonderful Stitched in Sweden podcast hosted by Maria

Here are mums embroideries which inspired me to learn -

and she revisited the style 10 years later

Quilt Challenges

Mum told us about the quilt challenges we used to do. Here is one of each of ours based on the prompt 'Angel'

Here are some more of mums experimentations

Lovely Things

I got some wonderful luxurious yarns from The Wool Barn. Two skeins of Silk Sock which I am using for mums Aisling and two skeins of Alpaca Sock in its natural colour.

I received an incredible swap package from Himiko

Do follow Himiko's wonderfully inspiring Instagram feed @himikonosekkai

Thank you so much for watching.
