I just had to re-read the book too. It's funny to read books that you loved so much as a child when you are an adult, things that probably passed me by when I was young seemed to have a powerful resonance now. The illustrations are wonderful too, I love that Opal have included some on the ball bands.
My plan with this yarn is 9 pairs of socks, a pair in each colour and a stripey pair combining all the scraps for some extra special socks.
I have knit one pair so far ...
... a simple top down pair with a slip stitch heel.
I am now using all of my mind control powers to urge Opal to make a Moomin inspired line!! MOOMINS!!
What beloved story book would you like to see in sock yarn?

Oooh they look scrummy, I think it would have to be a yarn inspired by the Narnia books. Just think how luscious an Aslan yarn would be....
ReplyDeleteOn another note I have changed blog names, if you are still interested Dani. My new one is http://craftclubiow.blogspot.co.uk/
I have started teaching again and am really enjoying it.
Hope you are all well.
